What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of deep focused awareness, heightened attention and reduced peripheral awareness, enhancing your capacity for response to suggestion. The client can concentrate intensely on a specific thought or memory, while blocking out other sources of distraction. The use of hypnosis in this clinic is for your own personal healing, to overcome obstacles on your personal journey.

Hypnosis typically involves an induction period, much like meditation, during which the subject is given suggestions for imaginative experiences. This induction may contain further elaborations based on your intake interview. When using hypnosis, one person (the client) is guided to respond to suggestions for requested changes in subjective experience, alterations in perception, sensation, emotion, thought or behaviour.

Clients also learn self-hypnosis, which is the act of administering hypnotic procedures on one’s self to further the healing.
